"The Golden Musicals"
This feature has to do with musicals of all kind, from film to Broadway, and from Rock operas to Disney.
The first one will be the cult classic, Rocky Horror Picture Show. It was an adaptation of the British stage production, The Rocky Horror Show and is still shown in limited release 33 years after its theatrical release in 1975 (the longest ever!). Also, it was the first major movie release to have midnight showings by 20th Century Fox. Starring Tim Curry, Susan Surrandon, Barry Bostwick, Meatloaf and cast members from the original production, it is the movie that introduced us to these actors and singers.
Here are some of my favorite songs from the film:
Intro- Patricia Quinn- Science Fiction/Double Feature (Some of the most famous lips in history!)
Time Warp
Tim Curry- Sweet Transvestite
Susan Surrandon- Toucha Toucha Touch Me
Meatloaf- Hot Patootie
