"Earworm"

This song I can't get out of my head!!!

T-pain ft. Ludacris- Chopped and Screwed

I can't stop singing it, especially the chorus ( which is making me crack up!). Even more, I can't stop looking at the video. I'm feeling a Salvador Dali moment. It's as screwed up as the song, but so cool at the same time!

"Brand New Flava In Your Ear"

New music coming your way...

This is a song from Sara Bareilles and Ingrid Michaelson called "Winter Song." You may remember Sara's song "Love Song" and Ingrid's song "The Way I Am." I love that they decided to do a collaboration because both girls are great singers and their songs are some of my favorites! Also, the video is so cute with the little animated versions of Sara and Ingrid! Enjoy:

You may also remember a rapper by the name of Heavy D. Well, now he's a reggae singer (his family is Jamaican). He has a hot new track name "Long Distance Girlfriend" and actress Nia Long is in it. It sounds cool!!

"Who's That..." Artists of the Day

Welcome again to Reese's Ear Candy! This is another feature of my blog called "Who's That..." in which I post videos and songs of artists you may have not heard of from the present and the past:

1) The Answer: I recently heard this group and thought they were awesome! They are from Ireland and they remind me of the 60s and 70s heavy metal rock bands that I love...

2) The Noisettes: This is a band from England that I found out about recently. The Brits are taking over again! I like their songs, they are different than other bands and the lead singer has a jazzy rock sound to her voice. Listen to "Count of Monte Christo" on youtube. I couldn't get it on here, but here are songs I liked.  Maybe I'll be in a band like that one day. Just hoping...

3) Sia: She's quirky, adorable and her songs are beautiful.

4) Al Bowlly: He is a British Jazz singer from the 1930's. I was reading an interview of Adrien Brody and came across that he likes him. I checked him out and he sounds nice.

Enjoy and check other songs by these artists on youtube!!

News: RIP Vincent Ford and Lil' Kim Unhappy with Notorious Movie

Vincent Ford, the writer of some of Bob Marley songs, including his classic hit "No Woman, No Cry" died in Jamaica at the age of 68. He died from complication from Diabetes.  He had taught Marley to play guitar and was friends with Marley until his death at 36 from cancer. Critics argue that Marley gave credit to Ford for the famous hit to Ford could support himself. Still, Ford had a major influence on Marley. Rest in Peace.

In other news...

As you know, a new biopic about Biggie Smalls called Notorious is coming out in theaters on January 16. Well, even though Voiletta Wallace (his mother) , P. Diddy and Faith Evans (Biggie's former wife and singer) were involved in the production of the film, Lil' Kim was not involved in the film. Also, she is displeased with the person picked for her role,  Naturi Naughton (formerly of 3LW), and the portrayal of her relationship with Biggie's mother. Now, I do understand that Lil' Kim was a huge part of Biggie's life, but I feel this is somewhat Karma working here. I do like Lil' Kim's music, but when you mess around with a married man (he was married to faith and got Lil' Kim preganant), do you really deserve to be in the project. Just saying...

Anyways the film has Jamal Woolard as Biggie, Angela Bassett as Voiletta, Derek Luke as Sean Combs aka Puffy aka P.Diddy, Anthony Mackie as Tupac and Antonique Smith as Faith. I'll probably have a review for this movie later, check it out!

Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin Eve Performances

Happy New Years everyone!

Last night as I watched Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin Eve, a few thoughts came to my mind.

Despite the great performances from the Jonas Brothers, Ne-yo, Natasha Bedingfield, Fall Out Boy, Solange and Lionel Richie, there were a few eye and ear sores of the evening:

1) Having to hear Taylor Swift sing. Seriously I do not see what is so special about her music. I find her boring, yet she has the number one album in the country. Go figure!

2) Jesse McCartney gets on my nerves. He is so a Justin Timberlake wannabe. Even with two black background singers, he still did not look cool!

3) Sadly, Will.I.Am without the Black Eyed Peas is like plain white rice, he is boring! He has lost his way, boo hoo!

4) I love Solange, but what was up with her eyeshadow. She looked as if someone smacked her across the face with a yellow paintbrush!

5) Pussycat Dolls trying to dance in freaking tight leather pants is awkward!! Tight does not always equal sexy, especially if you cannot move in it.

6) Last but not least, the awkward moments of Joe Jonas having to stand inches away from Taylor Swift. As you may know, Taylor Swift has been going around telling everyone she can about how Joe broke up with her on the phone in 25 seconds (Another reason I don't like her!!) So, sitting there watching made me laugh so hard and at the same time I felt so bad for Joe. It must have been weird. I could also see Taylor trying to hide behind Lionel Richie. Again, hilarious!!

That's my litte review of the show! Enjoy!
